Northbridge, MAInc. 1704

Northbridge is a town in the Blackstone River Valley with the village of Whitinsville at its center — a remarkably intact 19th-century mill village built by the Whitin Machine Works. The Whitin mills, worker housing, and community buildings form one of the best-preserved industrial village landscapes in New England. Beyond Whitinsville, the town includes suburban and rural residential development.

For property professionals, Northbridge offers an unusual mix: the dense, historic Whitinsville village with its mill-era architecture and the more conventional suburban development in the surrounding areas. The Blackstone River and the Mumford River create flood zone exposure in the valley areas.
